Frequently asked questions

The short answers. If yours is not here, write to us.

What are the cards made of?

Anodized aluminum, 0.8 mm thick, 3.4 × 2.1 in with rounded corners. The design is laser-engraved into the coloured surface.

Can you print colour or photos?

No. We only engrave: engraved areas become bright metal and there is no ink. Photos and gradients are converted to one colour, so logos with solid shapes give the best result.

How many cards can I order?

Any quantity from a single card, up to 100,000 per design.

How is the price calculated?

By the total number of cards in your order: $10 each for 1 to 9, $9 for 10 to 99, $8 for 100 to 999 and $7 from 1,000. Double-sided cards are 1.5 × those prices.

Can I mix designs and finishes in one order?

Yes. Every card in the order counts toward the price tier, whatever its design or finish.

Can you engrave both sides?

Yes. Add a design to the back in the designer; double-sided cards cost 1.5 × the price of their tier.

Which finish should I choose?

Black and the coloured finishes give the strongest contrast. Silver is subtle: the engraving is bright metal on a light surface, so it has low contrast.

Do I need an account?

No, you can design and check out as a guest. With an account your designs and orders stay in one place, and anything you made as a guest moves to your account when you sign up.

How long does it take?

We start production once your payment is confirmed. At checkout you see Canada Post’s expected delivery date for each service, and we email your tracking number when your order ships.

Where do you ship?

Everywhere in Canada and the United States, with Canada Post.

Will I pay taxes or duties?

Orders shipped in Canada pay GST or HST, plus provincial sales tax where it applies. Orders shipped to the US carry no Canadian tax, but US duties or taxes may be collected on delivery.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Your cards are made to order. Until production starts you can cancel from your order page for a full refund. Once engraving has begun, the order can no longer be cancelled.

What if something is wrong with my cards?

If cards arrive damaged, defective or different from your approved proof, contact us and we will reprint them. If Canada Post loses the parcel, we file the claim and send a new set.

How can I pay?

Securely through Stripe with a credit card, and with Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them. Your card details never reach our servers.
